About MD Tech
A small company building deliberately: starting small, going deep, and expanding where the technology earns it.
WHY WE STARTED
The tools that protect people were not keeping up.
The internet became essential long before it became understandable. We started MD Tech because the technology meant to protect people was either too technical to use or too shallow to trust, and because we believed it was possible to build something rigorous that anyone could use.
Our first step was Privio, a product that brings network-level protection to everyday devices without asking people to become network engineers.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
Technology around privacy, security and connectivity.
MD Tech works in internet security and VPNs, and we are not limited to either. Privio is the product available today. Alongside it we explore directions in network monitoring, failure diagnosis and connection recovery, which are the problems that sit just underneath privacy and security.
We think of these as parts of one problem, not separate product lines.

Privio is only the beginning.
We want to build a technology ecosystem that helps people understand, control and protect their digital environments. That means going deeper into the infrastructure, and growing outward only where the underlying technology creates something genuinely useful.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Principles we hold ourselves to.

Control
Technology should give people meaningful control over their digital environment. Settings should do real work, and the person using a device should be the one who decides how it behaves.

Simplicity
Complex infrastructure should produce simple experiences. The more engineering underneath, the less the interface should ask of the person using it.

Transparency
Security should not depend on obscurity or empty promises. We explain what our systems do, what they collect and where their limits are.

Engineering
We build from the underlying system upward, not from marketing downward. Features follow from how the network actually behaves, and claims follow from what the systems can prove.

Honest about our size.
We are a small team, and we are deliberate about it. A small team lets us stay close to the systems we build, make decisions quickly and avoid pretending to be a large organization. We would rather do a few things properly than many things loosely.
